Join Bradford's growing Business Network ? bradfordkickstart

As the UK economy tries to move into growth, Bradford GRID?s support for small businesses has never been more important. Based at Carlisle Business Centre, the GRID*@CBC provides office space, resources and coaching for a whole host of people who are turning? their business idea into a successful commercial enterprise.

Amongst the GRID?S most popular events are the regular networking lunches which take place on the second Wednesday of the month. ?As part of the ?What?s happening in Bradford initiative?? we?ve taken our networking lunches out on the road this year,? says Craig Howard, Enterprise Support Officer. ?So far we?ve visited Bradford University, Kala Sangam and our June meeting will be at Culture Fusion.?

As well as food, attending a networking lunch provides a perfect, informal opportunity to meet other local business people and tell them about what you do. In short it?s a great way of advertising your business and also of finding partners and suppliers .

The GRID*s at Low Moor and Park Lane also hold regular events.? The monthly membership fee?is just ?10 or?for non-GRID members the cost is ?15.

The next Business Networking Lunch takes place on the Wednesday?13th June at 12pm at Culture Fusion.? Speakers include:

Anne Salisbury, Programme Manager for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses programme.

The 10,000 Small Businesses programme is available to businesses in Yorkshire who have fewer than 50 employees and is fully funded by Goldman Sachs. The programme enables businesses to achieve their growth potential. Come along to hear how it may be beneficial to your business.? Please note interested businesses can officially register on the programme on the same day from 6pm at the Carlisle Business Centre.

Paul Colley, CEO of Culture Fusion

Culture Fusion, managed by Bradford YMCA was granted a whopping ?5m ?Myplace? grant, enabling them to convert what used to be an old mill on Thornton Road and establishing it as a high of the state facility for young people.? Culture Fusion officially opened its doors in November last year and brings over?hundred?s of?people every week to use its facilities . The centre itself offers meeting spaces, caf?, ICT room, ?a climbing wall, play area, garden and top roof patio.? An opportunity to take a tour of the premises will be included!
