College softball: Olivet loses, but still wins title at own tournament

Despite being limited to just one hit in a surprising 2-1 loss to Judson on Saturday, Olivet Nazarene team was still able to win the title at its own invitational.

The Tigers (36-6) finished 3-1 in the tournament and won the tiebreaker to earn the crown.

Jordan Reynolds collected the only hit and run for Olivet against Judson, who matched that run in its half of the first and scored the game-winner in the fifth.

Earlier in the day, Olivet earned a 6-3 victory over McKendree.

Reynolds once again paced the Tigers' offense with a perfect 4-for-4 day at the plate that included four runs scored. Bethany Holaway also went 2-for-2 and Molly Anderson also had two hits. Katie Hannagan improved to 14-3 with a complete-game effort in the circle.
